Apple has decided to add a little extra power to its MacBook Pro laptops to keep them warm during the cold winter months.

The whole range has been fitted with slightly more powerful processors, and the larger 15'' and 17'' laptops have a more powerful AMD graphics card as well.  Anybody buying a new 13.3'' MBP can choose to add a larger 750 GB hard drive, instead of the launch maximum of 500 GB.

None of these updates are earth-shattering—which is just as well for us, as we tested some very similar Macs very recently.  They do a little more processing power but without a price increase.

The basic version of the 13.3'' MacBook Pro still comes in just under the thousand-pound mark at £999.

If you're buying online, be careful as resellers might offer you some of their existing stock.  The new models are all available online from the Apple Store though.
