A regular phenomenon both for AMD and Intel: their processor ranges are regularly updated with higher clock models. Today it's AMD's entry level that we're looking at.

Five models are on the programme, two, three and four core Athlon IIs. These five new models are all clocked 100 MHz up on the previous models. The price positioning is simple to follow: the new ones have been introduced at the same price as the old, which will see their prices gradually fall before being decommissioned.
