After this first look and while waiting for our tests, it looks as if these are powerful gamer machines, full of colour LEDs. Note, fortunately, that you can turn them off. We couldn't see anything wrong with the finish on the multitouch touchpad and keyboard. The hot air comes out of the back and not at the hinge with the screen, which is a good thing as there's no danger of getting in the way of the hot air when using a mouse.
You still can't choose between a matte and a glossy panel however and the chassis design could do with an update.
