7.6 million tablets sold in 2010?

If IDC is to be believed moreover, between now and 2014, sales of tablets could reach 46 million. If this is the case, the rate of growth in this segment of the market - still very confined, somewhere between the smartphone and the laptop - would be very high for such a short period of time. To recap, back in February GFK estimated sales of 4 million tablets in 2010.
And what does this growth of connected tablets depend on? Tailor made applications that bring real added value to the user, according to the analysts. In the meantime, the iPad and its AppStore still have no real competitor.
