As an alternative to PowerDVD 10, to convert your 2D video content to 3D, you can go for a filter distributed by Radiant Star Information: 3Dfier.
On sale for $25, this filter is much more affordable than PowerDVD 10 Deluxe. The first version of the Cyberlink software to offer 2D to 3D conversion, TrueTheater 3D, is on sale for around £50.

We have asked the distributor for a testable version of the filter. The tests began yesterday evening and the least we can say is that the early results look good. We're going to test it in more depth and will publish an article comparing the two solutions.
